Vidushi. Srilatha is one of the Senior disciples of Karnataka Kalashree Guru Smt. Revathi Narasimhan, (Founder Director, NATYA NIKETAN, Bangalore) in Bharatanatyam and has been under her mentorship and guidance for over 20 years. She presented her Debut "Arangetram" at the age of 15 and also completed Vidwat exam from Karnataka Secondary Exam Board with a Rank. She is also a Graded Artist of Doordarshan, Bangalore.
She has been a prime member of the SHIVAKAMI troupe of NATYA NIKETAN and has performed in lead roles in some of the very fascinating dance dramas like - as Andal in Andal Vaibhavam - A series which was telecast in Sri Shankara TV during Marghazhi Series, Sri Ramanuja Vaibhavam, Sarvam Krishnamayam, Bhavayami Raghuramam, Kannagiya Kalanduge, Navarasollasa and many more. She has presented many Solo, Duet and group productions. Some of her highly appreciable performances include "PRAKRUTHI NAMANAM" - A special dance feature on Environment & its protection, "SHIVARPANAM" - A unique production featuring the traditional presentation of Ragam-Tanam-Pallavi, Chidambaram Natyanjali, Brihan Natyanjali, Tanjore, Mylapore Fine Arts Club, Chennai, Indian Fine Arts Society, Chennai.
She was also a Teaching faculty at Natya Niketan, Bangalore and Indian Music Experience, Bangalore.
Srilatha is the Co-Founder of NATANA TARANGINI School of Music & Dance started by her mother and
has been teaching Bharathanatyam to aspiring students. She has choreographed unique concepts such as "Prakruthi Namanam", "Lakshmi Ashtothara", "Dashavatara", "Yoga through Dance" and received appreciation from senior dance gurus.
