At the very young age she was attracted to the Goddess of Karnatik instruments "THE VEENA", also called the "Saraswathi Veena". She used to watch her mother perform on Veena and had a desire to learn this divine instrument. She had her initial training from her mother Vidushi Y. G. Parimala and further continued under Vidushi Dr. Suma Sudhindra. Currently she is pursuing her advanced training under one of the foremost exponents of Veena Vidushi. She was the Winner of All India Radio Competition in the Instrumental Category(Veena) for the year 2013-14 and received the award from Vocal exponent Vid. Parasalla Ponnamal at Trivandrum, Kerala. She is a "B High" Graded artist of AIR, Bangalore.
